This is a comprehensive rhinoplasty text book written by over 100 renowned worldwide specialists, edited by Anthony Sclafani. With some 80 chapters and close to 700 pages, it is a sizeable volume. The book aims to cover all aspects of functional and aesthetic septorhinoplasty, and largely achieves this with sections on assessment, septoplasty, the dorsum, functional surgery, tip rhinoplasty, revision surgery, age and ethnic considerations, and complications.

Although techniques applicable for cleft nose surgery are described in several chapters, there is not a specific chapter dedicated to this most challenging aspect of rhinoplasty.

The illustrations and photographs are of a high standard, though for a handful of chapters these are in black and white. Inevitably with a multi-author text, there are multiple and varied techniques described, and a range of opinion. This book is therefore better suited to the practising rhinoplasty surgeon or more senior trainee with some experience. For those with an interest in rhinoplasty, it is an excellent desktop reference, to which I myself will refer.
