WENTS, in affiliation with ENT UK, aims to inspire and support women training and working in ENT (www.entuk.org/wents).
This event will be open to 30 delegates, with places offered to active mentors within the WENTS mentoring programme in the first instance. It is generously sponsored by MED EL.
The mentoring workshop will be led and facilitated by Dr Laura Blackburn (MBBS PgClinEd MRCP FHEA). Laura is a qualified and accredited coach based in the East of England. Alongside her coaching practice she works as an Occupational Health Physician and Facilitator. Her work in education spans communication, coaching approaches and teaching skills for both undergraduates and postgraduates, in addition to training University Faculty in coaching and mentoring skills. As a Coaching and Mentoring Fellow for Health Education England in the East of England, she supported the development of regional mentoring and coaching schemes, as well as the training of the mentors involved. Since then, Laura has supported the growth of a national scheme for Supporting Women in Gastroenterology, and regularly coaches doctors looking for direction and clarity in their careers.
