Congratulations to our audiology editor, Gareth Smith, on his recent appointment as Head of Audiological Services / Clinical Lead at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, where he has served as a consultant clinical scientist since 2011.
Gareth first joined the ENT & Audiology News team back in 1998 as a student audiology technician. In 2008, he became the associate audiology editor under Professor David Baguley, ultimately assuming the role of audiology editor in 2015.
Gareth's relishes the chance to “go rogue” with content, as seen in our special Space and Extreme Environments issue, in which he assumed the persona of Captain Smith of Starship Audiology. If you missed that special edition, you can read it here now.
