With COVID-19 bringing the world to a stand-still, the Association of Otolaryngologists in Training (AOT) have been addressing the elephant in the room - how to ensure continued access to quality training material in the current times. A number of virtual teaching programmes have been set up across the UK. Guy's and St Thomas' and the Evelina London Children's hospitals, embarking on a similar educational initiative to encourage trainee engagement with continued professional development through a weekly virtual ENT Grand Round. Over the last two months, they have had a number of brilliant grand round sessions addressing a wide variety of topics related to otolaryngology practice, with speakers from across the globe, including the likes of Prof Daniele Marchioni from Italy and Prof Anil D'Cruz from India.
The weekly sessions are virtually conducted every Wednesday at 1900 BST, and are open to all that are interested in attending, irrespective of their specialty, level of training or geographical location.
