John Russell, Congress President:

Dear friends, there are now only five weeks to the 7th Confederation Congress of European Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in Dublin, Ireland, 15–19 June 2024. Registrations are increasing day by day and there are 3000 delegates from over 80 countries already signed up with 880 faculty members attending.

It is very important that you register before 15 May as this is the last day of the standard registration fee.

There are two exciting pre-congress courses not to be missed on Saturday 15 June. Professor Ahmed Geneid will be hosting a workshop on unilateral vocal cord paralysis and will have expert speakers from Holland, UK, Austria and Finland. They will address the different management options available. Check out this short video:

.

Professor Lucy Dalton will be hosting an otology and hearing implant workshop in collaboration with Medel. The delegates will have an opportunity to perform temporal bone drilling on artificial specimens and also experience and test a wide range of implants from middle ear to bone-anchored to cochlear. Please watch her short video:

The opening ceremony is taking place at 5pm on Saturday 19 June in our wonderful 2000-seater auditorium. You will have an opportunity to learn a little about the confederation and meet our president, Professor Per Caye-Thomasen. We have purposefully kept it short to about 30 minutes so as to avoid boredom.

After the short ceremony we will proceed down to the exhibition hall for a well-deserved welcome reception.

Start your conference well by attending one of our pre-congress courses and don’t miss the opening ceremony.

I am looking forward to meeting you at the biggest European congress of otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
