It is clear that COVID-19 has created multiple wide-reaching issues for trainees as a whole. Whilst an earlier preoccupation of mine has been to develop AOT ENT Education, I recognise that equal effort is needed in issues including national selection, operative experience, the new curriculum, the DOHNS, FRCS and trainee progression/CCT. We have been blessed with an excellent AOT committee that are advocating incredibly well on many of these issues. Importantly I look forward to our postponed AOT Conference in May 2021, hopefully face-to-face!
