On 12 June, Emeritus Professor Valerie Lund was officially invested at Windsor Castle as Dame Commander of the British Empire for Services to Rhinology. The investiture was conducted by the Princess Royal. Valerie shared this wonderful occasion with her husband, Professor David Howard (pictured above right), and with her very good friend and colleague, Claire Hopkins, Professor of Rhinology at King's College, London (pictured above left).
It was a very special day as the honour recognises the importance of ENT and specifically conditions of the nose and sinuses. Valerie wanted again to thank all the colleagues in the UK and abroad who have supported her throughout her career and especially her patients.
