Earlier this year, MED-EL successfully acquired BHM-Tech, a leader in bone conduction hearing systems, further strengthening its innovative hearing solutions portfolio. To ensure a seamless transition, BHM-Tech’s founder, Franz Berl, will remain as a consultant following his retirement, with Markus Hütter appointed as Managing Director.
Recognising the team’s expertise, all employees at BHM-Tech will retain their roles within the company as well as their familiar surroundings in Austria. The acquisition combines MED-EL’s global reach with BHM-Tech’s bone conduction technology, offering enhanced solutions for people with conductive hearing loss. “Together, we will further advance the future of hearing technology and continue to offer first-class hearing solutions to our customers”, commented Markus Hütter.
