The VII International Interdisciplinary Congress of Diseases of the Head and Neck Organs was held in the Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute named after M F Vladimirsky on 30 May to 1 June 2019.
Sixteen countries participated in the congress and 33 cities of Russia. There were 62 sessions, they covered the following topics oncology, otolaryngology, plastic, maxillofacial surgery, dentistry, reconstructive surgery, neurosurgery, radiation diagnosis, ophthalmology, vascular surgery, medical rehabilitation, sessions of patient organisations were conducted.
For the first time, a session on respiratory amyloidosis was given. There was a seven hour long live surgery translation ‘Thyroid Battle’ performed! Workshops on microsurgery in head and neck surgery were conducted.
The congress was well attended. There was 1192 participants and 273 reports were presented. There was the third roundtable for larynx and trachea surgery led by Professor V Zenger! It was for six hours!
The congress was attended by 158 section moderators, among which: 12 academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), seven corresponding members of the RAS, 112 professors and doctors of medical sciences, 12 foreign professors, 27 PhDs.
