Bringing together over 3,000 professionals in hearing and balance healthcare, the highly anticipated annual conference from the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) served as a dynamic hub for education, networking and innovation. With more than 130 exhibitors, attendees had the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in audiology technology and clinical solutions.
The conference kicked off with an inspiring keynote speech by corporate wellness expert and meditation advocate Nadene Cherry. Her session, ‘Permission to Pause—Transforming Pressure to Inner Peace and Outer Performance,’ focused on mindfulness strategies designed to help professionals enhance their focus, build resilience and thrive in their careers.

Over the course of the event, participants attended more than 150 educational sessions covering key topics such as private practice management, paediatric audiology, vestibular assessment and strategies for early-career audiologists. The sessions emphasised practical applications and evidence-based research, ensuring attendees left with valuable insights to implement in their practices.
A major highlight was the HearTECH Expo, where top industry leaders – including Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, Signia, Starkey, and Widex – showcased groundbreaking technologies designed to elevate clinical care. One of the most talked about innovations was the launch of Natus Sensory’s ICS® Dizcovery, an advanced videonystagmography (VNG) system. Designed to simplify vestibular diagnostics, the system eliminates the need for external hardware like light bars, offering clinicians greater flexibility for balance assessments in diverse environments.
Beyond the educational sessions, networking played a crucial role in the event’s success. The New Professionals Networking Meet-Up and the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Mix and Mingle created opportunities for meaningful connections, allowing audiologists at various career stages to engage in mentorship and collaboration.
