This triennial congress has provided a forum for otorhinolaryngologists in the Nordic countries to exchange knowledge and learn from each other for more than a century. Originally planned for 2020, this year's congress will bring together experts from the Nordic countries and beyond, featuring speakers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the US, the UK, Canada, South Africa, Australia, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
The congress will cover a wide range of topics in three-four parallel tracks, including advances in the diagnosis and treatment of balance disorders, hearing loss and ear surgery, voice and swallowing disorders and diverse laryngeal pathologies, as well as recent developments in head and neck surgery, rhinology, skull base surgery, sleep medicine, and more. There will also be pre-congress workshops, keynote speeches, panel discussions and poster presentations.
In addition to the scientific programme, social events will provide opportunities for networking with colleagues and industry professionals. Reykjavik, with its stunning natural scenery, rich cultural heritage, and excellent cuisine, will provide a perfect backdrop for a memorable congress. With the long summer nights in May, attendees can expect extended daylight hours to explore the city and its surroundings, including the famous Blue Lagoon, as well as the geysers and waterfalls of the Golden Circle.
Registration for the congress is now open and can be accessed through the congress website at orl2023.is. The website will also provide information on the scientific programme, social events and accommodation options for attendees.
We look forward to welcoming you to Reykjavik for the Nordic Congress this May.
