Back in January 2004, in a small, dark room at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, ENT Masterclass was launched as an innovative training platform, always free at the point of delivery. Very soon it expanded from a single course for 50 local ENT surgical trainees to a worldwide phenomenon, providing free academic resources in 16 countries across four continents.
For the last 22 years, the National ENT Masterclass has been the flagship annual event, held on the last weekend of January. Now, after eight years, this event returns to London from Doncaster. The venue in London next year will be the Royal Society of Medicine at 1 Wimpole Street, London. Popular with senior ENT trainees and consultants, the organisers’ attention to detail and the quality of the faculty and their talks have always generated very generous feedback. The academic event remains completely free with a token charge for catering and admin.
The faculty this time consists of some of the leading stars of ENT in the UK, including eleven past-presidents of the Royal Society of Medicine ENT sections. The programme includes 32 state-of-the-art lectures and three panel discussions on a range of topics in otolaryngology and head & neck surgery. This line up is guaranteed to deliver the objective of high quality updates for consultants and shall be a perfect FRCS exam level revision for trainees.
