Representing Malaysia as a Global Ambassador will allow me to introduce Malaysia’s audiovestibular development in terms of research and in general. We have three universities offering audiology courses and 41 fully-fledged ORL and audiology units in the government hospitals across Malaysia serving the population of 32 million and many more in private settings to follow suit following the same vision for a better patient care. Universal hearing screening is widely exercised nationally in supporting early intervention. Even though audiology is fairly young in Malaysia, I believe Malaysia can be the centre of audiovestibular provider and training ground in South East Asia - with its rapid development, global backing from industry players and government support as more efforts and funds are allocated for more impactful campaigns.
