After obtaining a degree in English Literature from Dundee University, I ventured across the Tay and the Forth to join ENT & Audiology News in bonnie Edinburgh in 2015, and have happily worked my way from Administrative Assistant to Editorial Coordinator. When I’m not distracting my colleagues from their work with talk of tennis or my latest cooking escapades, I spend my time inviting feature articles, book, journal and tech reviews, pestering authors for copy, and formatting our wonderful editorial content for publication.
Along with our fantastic Editorial Board, formed of clinicians across the ENT and audiology professions, I help to plan our special themes for each edition of the magazine, factoring in the current ‘hot topics’ in the field, be it robotics, inner ear therapeutics, music, or the next big conference.
As an international publication, we endeavour to ensure our content comes from ENT and audiology experts across the world, and try to touch base with as many as we can by attending important international conferences. During my time on the publication, I have become quite the jetsetter and have enjoyed meeting our loyal readers and advertisers in various parts of the globe, including the AAA and AAO-HNS in the USA, and IFOS in Paris. Magnifique!
Outside the office, I love reading fiction, from Harper Lee to Harry Potter, attending gigs and festivals, watching the ballet, eating cheese, and fussing over my cat, Lola, and pup, Seve.
