Chia-Hung was born in Taiwan in 1992 and immigrated to the UK at the age of 10. He studied BEng Biomedical Engineering at City University London, graduating with First Class Honours in 2014. Afterwards he enrolled onto the Doctoral Training Programme in Medical Device Innovation at UCL. His project is on the concept of using acoustic sensors to analyse nasal blockage in order to aid clinicians in diagnosing nasal conditions.
